I have taken a number of courses on DataScience and Statistics using Python and R from Coursera. I also bought a subscription to DataCamp, but hadn’t started it yet.
I’ve enjoyed the Coursera courses and love the idea of combining my passion for math, science, and technology into a career as a Data Scientist.
Yesterday I started DataCamp’s Data Scientist Career Track. It is a 67 hour track, and I plan to spend 3 to 4 hours a day on it.
While I participate in the course I will incorporate Amazon Web Services’ cloud infrastructure so that I can continue learning AWS to become a certified solutions architect.
Completed 1st Course: Intro to Python for Data Science
I’ve completed the 1st course in the Data Scientist Career Track: Intro to Python for Data Science.
The course is divided into 4 sections:
- Python Basics
- Python Lists
- Functions and Packages
I’ve been coding in Python for a couple of years and tutor students so this is a review for me. However, I don’t use NumPy regularly and forget at times just how wonderful it is. It was great to get a refresher on NumPy.
